Decisive factors for the light intensity of a high-performance searchlight are the applied illuminant and the quality of the reflector. Optimal reflection performance and even 20 % more light intensity are obtained with the WISKA parabolic mirror of glass. The 'A' searchlights are equipped with a reflector of high-gloss aluminium.
WISKA searchlights are suitable for all ocean-going and inland-waterway vessels - typical examples being merchant vessels, along with Defence, Costal Watch, Search & Rescue, Police, Customs and Fire fighting. Halogen incandescent lamps are spotlights of temperature which emit up to 20% of the electric power absorbed by a Wolfram light wire as light:
Halogen metal halide lamps stand out due to extraordinary light colour and optimal yield of light based on valuable metal additions in the discharge of gas:
Xenon lamps are stuffed with pure xenon. The discharge bow burns under extreme pressure reaching the highest luminous density among all lamps. The xenon lamps have a very long working life.
